Carolyn Ridings Cameron, age 80, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away March 21, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, Alabama. A private family ceremony will be held at a later time in celebration of her life.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Mildred Ridings, and her grandson, Jarrett Sandlin.
Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Sandra Breeding, Linda Jackson, brother Tommy Ridings, daughters, Shari Sandlin (Mike), Janine Davis (Bob), son, Rodney Cameron, daughter-in-law, Andrea Cameron, eight grandchildren, Riley Vaughn, Britt Sanford (Brittain), Trey Davis (Janis), Katie Weist (Colby), Blake Davis (Gina), Taryn Cameron, Nicole Cameron, Izzy Cameron, eight great grandchildren, Deacon Vaughn, Wheeler Vaughn, Sandlin Vaughn, Thea Sanford, Lila Sanford, Lucas Davis, Mary Margaret Davis, Kellen Weist, and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a 1960 graduate of Walker County High School. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed spending time with all of her many friends from her apartment building. Her laughter and enthusiasm of life will be greatly missed.
