Carolyn Parrish Profile Photo Carolyn Montgomery Parrish, at the age of 77, peacefully departed on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. Born amidst the warm embrace of Tupelo’s southern charm on July 19, 1946, Carolyn was the eldest daughter of Loran Andrew and Lorene Laura Hood Montgomery.

Though her roots were firmly planted in Tupelo, Carolyn’s life blossomed in various corners of the country, notably in the vibrant pulse of Memphis, Tennessee, with a brief sojourn amidst the desert hues of Phoenix, Arizona. Throughout her journey, Carolyn wielded her talents as an Administrative Assistant, navigating the intricate tapestry of professional life with grace. For a fleeting moment, she even donned the badge of a Deputy Sheriff, a testament to her versatility and spirit.

An artisan at heart, Carolyn wove magic with her hands, finding solace and joy in the delicate art of sewing. She was also a talented cook who always made the simplest dishes extraordinary. Among her many passions, travel, especially cruising, held a special allure for Carolyn. She had an unwavering love of all animals, especially her beloved cats and dog.

Carolyn leaves behind three siblings, Judy Bruce of Tupelo, Ralph Montgomery of Mooreville, and Penny Montgomery of Mooreville; one stepdaughter, Tammy Davis of Texas; three grandchildren, Haley, Kaleb, and Ryan Davis; one nephew, Nicholas Witt; and one uncle, Wayne Hood.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by Larry Parrish.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Monday, April 1, 2024, at Pegues Tupelo.

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Billy West officiating.
