Carolyn June Britnell Holcomb, age 77, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, December 01, 2023, at her residence.
Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Centerview Church of Christ. She loved to shop and be pampered by having her nails and hair done. She had a wide assortment of salt & pepper shakers, shoes, purses, and other great finds. She was a very strong woman who was loved by so many.
She was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Britnell & Tiny Louise Fuller Britnell; and brother, Billy Britnell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Royce Holcomb; children, Teresa Holcomb Hipps (Jamie), Andrew Shane Holcomb (Darlina); grandchildren, Jessico Baker (Michael), Andrea Hipps (David), Addison Holcomb, Andrew Grant Holcomb; great-grandchildren; Jesslee Baker, Bentlee Davis, Carlee Davis, Blake Baker; siblings, Sharin Hill Dummar, David Britnell; and several nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 05, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gerald Ricketts. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Michael Baker, Jamie Hipps, Blake Baker, Steve Holcomb, Floyd Willingham Jr., Chad Wells, Grant Holcomb, and David Davis. The honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Britnell.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Centerwell Home Health nurses Misty and Michele, and Hospice of North Alabama. Also, a special thanks to a host of wonderful caregivers and close friends, Mom loved you all and even if she fired you several times.
