Mrs. Carolyn Gist Staton age 88, passed away peacefully at Highlands Health and Rehab., Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
Visitation will be, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Rudder Funeral Home of Scottsboro, from 11 – 2 p.m.. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., also held at Rudder Funeral Home, with Bro. Shandy Dill officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Staton is survived by her husband, Wayne Staton; son, Tim Haston (Shannon); daughter Melanie Johnson (Steve); grandchildren, Ben Johnson (Robyn), Tyler Johnson (Mary Margaret), Wimberly Haston, Windsor Haston, Corey Haston, Chris Haston, Anthony Haston (Keisha), Paige Machen (Garon), Sydney McGee (Brandon); 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Almon and Pearl Gist, sister Mona Neal, sons, Richard Haston and Steve Staton.
