Carolyn Faye Anderson Norman, age 67, passed away in her home on February 17, 2024 in Columbia, Tennessee.
Carolyn was born on February 15, 1957 to the late Paul and Florence Anderson in Santa Fe, Tennessee.
She attended Santa Fe School System for 12 years among cherished friends, where she played basketball. She was also a volunteer at Maury Regional Hospital as a candy striper for approximately 11 years. She also went to attend Columbia State Community College for a year and a half. Carolyn had primarily worked in the medical field for most of her life at local nursing homes and Maury Regional. She then worked for Maury EMS for ten years. She then attended EMT School in Hohenwald, Tennessee followed by Paramedic School at University of Huntsville AL, which she took great pride in. She was married to Jerry Norman, until his passing in 2010, in 1981. In 1982, she gave birth to her son Michael Paul Norman, and she considered him her best accomplishment.
Carolyn was of the Baptist faith and gave herself to Christ as her Lord and Savior as a teenager. She was a long time member of Newsong Baptist Church.
She loved all animals. She also loved reading and being outdoors to garden and be around flowers. If anything was her motto, it was “ A nurturing mother and friend to all” and “What can I do to help?”
She is preceded in death by her husband: Jerry Norman; parents; and beloved brother: Paul Randall “Randy” Norman.
She is survived by her son: Michael Norman.
A service for Carolyn will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
