Carolyn Emerson Thomsen, age 81, of Arley passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
She was born December 10, 1942 to Ray and Pearl Emerson. Carolyn was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Arley. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Carolyn loved her retirement on Smith Lake after working in insurance for many years. She also loved being outside and family vacations to St. George Island in Florida. She cherished her “only” grandson, Joshua.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Pam (Eric) Bowman; grandson, Joshua Bowman; sister-in-law, Joanne Emerson; nieces, Yavet Carlton, LaCarol Turner, Tina Miller, and Kristi Boyce, and nephew, Reed Emerson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Mark Thomsen; brothers, JR. Emerson, Marvin Ray Emerson; and her parents, Ray and Pearl Emerson.
