Carolyn Elizabeth Waters Rouse, 80 of Corner, passed away November 11, 2022. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and formerly employed with the Jefferson County Board of Education.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Tommy Rouse; parents, Hunter and Marietta Waters; brother, Bobby Waters and sister, Annette Russell.
Survivors include her children, Steve Rouse, Tim Rouse (Theresa), Marsha DeCord (Frank) and Thomas Rouse; grandchildren, Megan Rouse, Josh Rouse (Ashley), Zachari Rouse, Emily Rouse, Aaron and Cameron DeCord and Caleb, Abby and Eli Rouse; great grandchildren, Jadyn, Jase, Hunter, Layton, Pax and Ryker; several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday November 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Brother George Weeks will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Corner. Visitation is Wednesday from 1-2 pm.
