Carolyn Alice (Zingarell) King, 86, of Sheffield, went to be with her Lord on September 27, 2024, at home.
Carolyn graduated from Sheffield High School and retired from The Times Daily. She loved America and supported her husband for 20 years as a proud military wife. She dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of her family, friends, neighbors, community and strangers.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth King; her son, Rich; mother, Katherine Nettles; father, Harry Zingarell; and brother, David Morgan.
She is survived by her daughter Kay Brackin (Mike); son David (Judy); and sister Kathe Dorman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Brackin and Victor and Bella King.
In honoring her wishes, a private graveside service was held at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Hospital.
Rogersville Funeral Home is assisting the family.
