Caroll Wayne Killough passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility at the age of 88. He was born August 4, 1933 in Serapta, Mississippi, the son of William Edward and Mary Elizabeth Winfield Killough. Wayne was a successful business man, owning and operating Wayne’s Lawn Service for many years. He also drove a truck earlier in his career. Wayne was a member of Calvary Assembly Worship Center in Tupelo. He had a particular knack for gardening and tending to plants in his green house. His greatest passion however, was his family, particularly his grandkids.
Wayne leaves behind four Children Larry Killough and wife Haley of Saltillo , Darlene Burke of Michigan , Janet Evans and husband Gary of Toccopola , David Wilson and Steve Wilson, both of Pontotoc ; brother-in-law, Charles Saganek; 25 grandchildren , nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Glady Killough; Parents, William Edward and Mary Elizabeth (“Lizzy”) Winfield Killough ; Siblings , Baby Marie Killough , Kathleen Killough Adkins, Willis Lamonine Killough, Herbert Windom Killough, Children, Michael Edwin Killough , Rhonda Wilson, and Bill James Holloway
A memorial service celebrating Wayne’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Calvary Assembly Worship Center, 2128 Briar Ridge Road, Tupelo, 38804. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is entrusted with the arrangements.
