Carol McLure Tischer, 83, of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on October 8, 2022. Carol was a graduate of Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA and of Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she had a passion for antiques, decorating, gardening, sewing, and cooking. Carol was a member of the St. Louis Herb Society, the Daughters of the Magna Charta, the Twickenham Town Chapter of the DAR, and the Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Cecilia Rose Gutierrez McLure, her father, Thomas Carlyle McLure Jr., both of Alexandria, LA. Survivors include her husband, Arthur H. Tischer; daughters, Katherine Bello (Patrick Bello) of Kansas City, Elizabeth Dufresne of Fort Worth, and Anne Cota (John Cota) of St. Louis; grandchildren Kate Bello of Kansas City, Emily Bello of Chicago, Matthew Cota of St. Louis, and Georg Dufresne of Fort Worth; and brothers, Thomas Tucker McLure Jr. (Gin) and John McLure (Judy), both of Alexandria, LA.
A celebration of Carol’s life is being arranged.
