Carol May Merwin Kuykendall Wilson was born May 2, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was a dedicated Christian with a loving, servant heart. Carol was a faithful member of Parkburg Baptist Church in Pinson and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.
Carol was always happy to do for others and took pride in the many sewing, cooking, and housecleaning projects she completed. She was employed at Grand Leaders, the former Conalco Aluminum, and retired after many years of working in environmental services at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. After her retirement from the hospital, she still cleaned homes and sewed and cooked for others, as well as taking great care of her own home.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Chauncey and Alice Merwin; her first husband, Charles Kuykendall and her second husband, E.C. Wilson; and twelve of her fourteen siblings.
Carol is survived by three sons, Eddie Kuykendall (Pegge), Bobby Kuykendall (Pam), and Donnie Kuykendall; and her daughter, Alice Kuykendall Farrar (Dr. John). She has seven grandchildren, Aaron Farrar (Kelly), Amanda Kiestler (Eddie), Alicia Farrar, Adam Kuykendall (Melanie), Chase Kuykendall, Madison Kuykendall, and Kylie Donavan (Casey); seven great grandchildren, Shelby Lucius, Evan Farrar, Audrey Kiestler, Carter Kiestler, Ann Marie Kuykendall, Jackson Kuykendall, and Ellis Kuykendall. She is also survived by one sister, Sara Lyon (Ed) of Memphis, TN and one brother, Paul “Bud” Merwin (Gwendolyn ‘Tillie’) of McKenzie, TN.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Parkburg Baptist Church, 1180 Parkburg Rd., Pinson. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. at Parkburg Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Danny Rachel, Dr. John Farrar, and Dr. Jim Koonce. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers to serve will be Aaron Farrar, Adam Kuykendall, Eddie Kiestler, Chase Kuykendall, Gary Williams, and Neil Putman. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Post, Billy Joe Hill, and Larry Murley.
