Carol Lea Roberts, age 79, shed her mortal coils to join God on February 10, 2024, in Cullman, Alabama. She was born on January 6, 1945, in Logan, West Virginia.
Carol was someone who was fiercely devoted to her family and was full of emotion in loving not only her family but anyone she met. She was someone ready with a smile for everyone. Carol was fond of making flower arrangements for anyone who helped her, whether that was family, friends, or strangers she had met for the first time. She was always ready to return a kind deed.
Carol is survived by her brother Johnny Napier and sister Jean Lacy. She is also survived by her daughter Tonya Ayers, son Earl R. Roberts, grandson Justin Ayers, granddaughter Torri Roberts, grandson Ryan Ayers, granddaughter Nikki Ayers, granddaughter Hilary Ayers, great-grandson Liam Ayers, great-granddaughter Emma Ayers, great-granddaughter Madison Ayers, and her beloved dog Fancy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Napier, her sister Mabel Beniger, sister Darlene Price, sister Patricia McEntire, brother Edward Napier, brother Thomas Napier, and sister Fern Noel.
Carol provided for her children as a homemaker and as a skilled worker in the Telecommunications field. She was known for her dedication and hard work.
Carol was a devout Christian and in her younger years, a Sunday School teacher for the family church.
In her spare time, Carol enjoyed the art of making flower arrangements, yard sales, and spending time with her family and her four-footed fuzzy partner, Fancy.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Hanceville Funeral Home, located at 100 Michelle St NW, Hanceville, AL 35077, on Tuesday, February 20th, from 12pm to 2pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home from 2pm to 3pm, followed by interment at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville at 3pm.
