Carol Jeter, 74, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, after a brief stay in hospice.

Carol was born in Lynnville, Tennessee, to her late parents, Carter and Louise Russell. She had a playful sense of humor and a deep devotion to family and friends. She enjoyed staying connected and always made sure to say “I love you.”

She is survived by sons, Brett Caughron and Jessie Jeter; grandchildren, Shaya Jeter and Za’Den Cross; along with several step-children and step-grandchildren ;brothers, Charles (Twila) Russell and Wayne (Judy) Russell; sister-in-law, Gale Russell, and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie Caughron; second husband, Thomas Jeter; brothers, William (Marie) Russell, Bobby Russell, Raymond (Shirley) Russell; and sisters, Lucille (James) Graham, Zelma (Wilford) Brooks, Mary Lillian Russell, and Jewel Dean Russell.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 7th at 1:30 pm at Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity in her memory.
