Carol Denise Smith-Mayfield, 60 of Arab passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Denise was a twin born April 18, 1962, in Arab the daughter of James Lynn Smith and Ellen Meaders Smith Carr. She was a 1980 graduate of Arab High School, served her country honorably in the United States Army and worked for Rain Air before her illness.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years: Oneal Mayfield; children: Jessie Thomas Mayfield and Katie Jane Mayfield; father: James Lynn Smith; her twin sister: Deloris Tyler, along with Phyllis Williams (Rickey) and Geneta Davis; brother: Anthony Smith. Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother: Ellen Carr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be posted once available. Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Smith-Mayfield family with arrangements.
