Obituary of Carol Marsh Watt Carol “Cookie” Marsh Watt of Decatur passed away on March 10, 2024 . Visitation will be at 10:30 Sat March 16 at St Andrews Presbyterian Church with a celebration of life service at 11.with the Rev Tripo Brogdon officiating.

Carol is survived by daughter, Allison crow-Gay, grandchildren Cicily Hayes(Jaxon), Carson Crow, William “Liam” Gay III, and Lila Gay. She is also survived by nieces and great niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by parents Floyd A and Martha Marsh, brother, Don Lee Marsh, and living husband of 53 years, Dan B Watt.

Carol was born in Eva, AL 9/24/42 and graduated from Hazelwood HS. She attended the University of North Alabama. Carol worked as an executive secretary for 3M Company in Decatur and Sr Paul, MN. Carol married Dan Watt in November 1969 and went on to adopt their daughter, Allison Louise, in 1974. Mr and Mrs Watt moved back to Decatur where she taught China painting lessons for many years. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. She served in Decatur Charity League and was past president of Hill and Dale garden club. She and Dan were founding members of North Alabama Hosta Club and traveled along over the United States. Carol was recognized locally and internationally for awards in China painting. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her
