Carol Ann Milkman, age 63, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday evening, April 26, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on January 14, 1955 in McMinnville, Oregon, Carol was the daughter of the late Myrl Shoemaker and the late Lois Conn Shoemaker. She served her country in the United States Navy and was of the Methodist faith. Besides her work as a homemaker, she enjoyed traveling, camping and singing. She also enjoyed spending time on the boat at the river. Above all, Carol loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons: Mark Milkman of Columbia, Matthew (Angela) Milkman of Columbia; brother: Larry (Sheila) Shoemaker of Texas; sisters: Sharon (David) Henry of McMinnville, OR, Linda (Robert) Laune of Stanwood, WA; grandchildren: Daniel Milkman, Samuel Milkman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Brian Milkman on August 6, 2016.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice Compass, Dr. Ben Gardner, her caretaker: Janice, and the entire staff on the third floor at Maury Regional Medical Center.
