Carol Ann Allison was born December 14, 1949 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Mr. William Allison and Mrs. Ruby Mae Allison. She passed this life on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Crestwood Hospital.
Carol Ann accepted Christ at an early age and was a member and usher of Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, where she always praised Pastor Endia Scruggs and her ministry.
Carol was educated at William Hooper Council High School and was employed and retired from Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years.
Carol was the rock of the family as well as their HERO! She loved Jesus and the gospel. Some of her favorite songs were: “His Grace and Mercy”, “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” and “Order My Steps in Your Word.”
Carol was preceded in death by three brothers, James “Shorty” Phipps, Harden E. Phipps, both of Huntsville, AL and Carl Henry Allison of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Linda Faye Allison, Glenda Kaye Allison and Sandra Idella Allison, all of Huntsville, AL; and one great-granddaughter, Arianna Omari James of Huntsville, AL.
Carol leaves to cherish her loving memories: sons, Marillus Allison, Marcus Allison (Erika) and George Harris (Nicole); granddaughters, Brittany Anthony, Kennedy Smart, Kamari Smart and Keishun Mitchell; one grandson, Noah Harris; four brothers, John Thomas Phipps, Harold Allison, Vernon Lee (Bobby) Allison, Ricky Allison and Thomas Gaines, all of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Jackie Allison of Louisville, KY; nephews, Malcomb Allison, Kenneth Allison; god-daughter, Christy Wallace; neighbor and friends, Johny and Neki McDonald; special friend and sister in Christ, Linda Robinson; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (2403 Oakwood Road, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Rev. Endia J. Scruggs. Interment will in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace. Mrs. Allison will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 and 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28 2017 at the Royal Funeral Home.
