Carol Ann Abel Forsman, age 71, passed away on the evening of May 17, 2015 after a brief illness. Originally from Macon, GA, she was a resident of Killen for over 40 years and an adored member of the community. Her beautiful spirit and loving heart will be missed by all the lives that she has touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lena Belle and James Benjamin Abel of Macon, GA.
She is survived by her husband, K.E. (Butch) Forsman; children, Kimberly Howard (Bobby), Chet Forsman (Jackie); grandchildren, Erica Nicole Forsman, Evan Nathaniel Forsman; step-grandchildren, Callie Sinyard (Zack), Anna Jo Roberson (Ryan) and their children Jack and Joe ; sister, Jane Abel Hefner; nieces, Laura Hefner Wanamaker, Jana Hefner Jacob (Josh); great-nephews, Zachary Shepherd, Jack Jacob, and Andy Wanamaker.
Carol was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Florence. She was and will continue to be known for her grace, generous spirit, compassionate nature, and loving heart. She lived a life of service to both humankind and animals. Carol’s beautiful and joyful heart have touched more lives than can be mentioned.
There will be no family memorial service. In lieu of flowers or food, her husband and daughter’s wish is that donations be made in Carol’s honor to charities or social programs of ones choosing, or to the First United Methodist Church in Florence. A memorial service for friends and family will be coordinated with the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements will be announced through the church.
