Graveside service for Carol A. Hopper Downing, 67, of Laceys Spring, will be Tuesday, August 27, 2013, 11 a.m. at Valhermoso Springs Cemetery, with the Reverend Earl Holt officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Mrs. Downing was born January 19, 1946, to Lewis L. and Annie Lurleen Hopper in Morgan County. She passed away August 24, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of Laceys Spring United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Downing is survived by two sons, Joseph L. Downing of Laceys Spring and Robert M. Downing of Huntsville; two daughters, C. Annette Pittman and Anna Josette Hill both of Laceys Spring; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
