Carmelita L. Dickie, 71 of Cordova, passed away December 5, 22 at her residence.
She was a retired LPN from Baptist Health Systems after 35 years of service. She loved to work in her garden, and she loved feeding people. She loved her family most of all, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Lawson.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Paul Dickie; her children, Vonda Hayes (Jay), Lori McDonald (Ben) and Amanda Stone (Ben); grandchildren, Ashley Earnest (Wesley), Amber Hayes, Luke McDonald, Jake McDonald, Haley Stone and Lilly Stone; sisters, Johnnie Holmes, Anita Williams (Danny) and Mary Jo Cordell; brother, Larry Lawson (Renee); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Friday December 9, 22 at 2:00 pm. In the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Bruce LeVan will officiate. Burial will follow at Shanghi Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 12:30-2 pm at the funeral home.
