Funeral for Carlton “Wayne” Collier, 72, of Courtland will be today, February 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Jackson Memory Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral.
Mr. Collier died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Mable Collier; and one brother, Ernest Collier.
He is survived by one sister, Charlene Burkett of Courtland; one brother, Paul Collier of Vicksburg, Miss.; two nieces, April Jackson (Dr. Kirk Jackson and children) of Decatur and Marcie Collier Johnson (Bob and children) of Vicksburg, Miss.; two nephews, Michael Burkett and his children of Gadsden and Greg Collier of Vicksburg, Miss.; two aunts, Faye Nichols (Irvin) of Town Creek and Jean Mayes of Lawton, Mich.; and an uncle, Percy Lee Terry (Helen) of Trinity.
