Carlton L. Ragan, 72, of Florence, passed away Feb. 27, 2015, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of Underwood Baptist Church, the Muscle Shoals Street Rodders, and he was retired from Reynolds Alloys plant after 32 years of service.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Josh Lancaster and the Rev. Donnie McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Ragan was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Annie Mae Ragan, and sister, Pamela Perry.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Burlison Ragan, of Florence; son, Chad Ragan and wife, Michelle, of Cherokee; daughters, Traci Ragan Lovelace and husband, Bill, of Florence, and Tonya Ragan Suggs and husband, Robbie, of Muscle Shoals; sister, Carolyn Daniel; grandchildren, Alexandrea Jewel Ragan and Olivia Kate Ragan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth Building fund at Underwood Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Smallwood, Tommy Higginbotham, Van Daniel, Patrick Daniel, Alan Ferguson, and Eric Bedingfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Casteel and the street rod family.
