A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Carlton “J.P.” Patterson, 95, will be Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at New Friendship Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Ron Manley and Family Speaker – Buddy Sasser officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.
Mr. Patterson passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born December 1, 1921, in Marshall County to Eldridge Patterson and Cora Lee Wilbanks Patterson. He was a founding member of Valhermosa Baptist Church and was employed by NASA prior to his retirement. Mr. Patterson was a veteran, serving in World War II, with the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife: Edsel Hopper Patterson, his parents, a brother: Jr. Patterson, and two sisters: Jewell Autrey and Poca Breeding.
