Carlene Tune Davis, 65, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born January 25, 1952 to John Henry and Verlie Smith Tune. She was a graduate of East Union High School. She was a devout Christian and she loved her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Kings Gate Church and enjoyed volunteering for 8 Days of Hope. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family especially cinnamon and garlic w/cheese sour dough bread. She loved road trips just to see the scenery and spending time with her family and friends.
Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Garrett and Dr. Keith Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Richardson (Allen) of Mooreville; her son, Mark Davis (Amy) of Tupelo; two sisters, Faye Boyette of Tupelo and Karen McGee (Jim) of Saltillo; two brothers, Ray Tune (Nancy) of New Albany and Lane Tune of Tupelo; 6 grandchildren, Becca Hernandez-Martinez (Juan), Hanna Brown (Jordan), Elise Davis, Mary Katherine Davis, Jaryd Page and Seth Adams; 3 great-grandchildren, Joseph Hernandez Davis, Daniel Hernandez Martinez and Araceli Carlene “Carley” Hernandez Martinez; the father of her children, Marty Davis; one brother-in-law, Billy Putt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elizabeth Putt; a nephew, Ricky Boyette and a brother-in-law, Henry Boyette.
Pallbearers will be Tim Putt, Shane McGee, Austin McGee, Jason Morris, Scott Baughman and Chris Boyette. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jaryd Page, Seth Adams, Juan Hernandez, Jordan Brown, Jon Putt and Deandre’ Eiland.
