Funeral Services for Carl W. Cole, age 82, of Lineville will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Lineville Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Colquett and Rev. Ben Curlee officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.
Mr. Cole passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Clay County Hospital. A lifelong resident of Clay County, Mr. Cole was a graduate of Lineville High School, had worked for Kimberly Clark for several years, and then worked as the Lineville City Clerk for 30 plus years before retiring. He was a long time devoted member and deacon of Lineville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri C. Hilyer of Pike Road; one grandson, Cole O. Hilyer of Pike Road; and two sisters: Mildred Cole Lee (Harold) of Montgomery, and Mary Cole Stewart of Anniston.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Maynard Cole and Claudine Hendrix Cole, and his wife, Faye East Cole.
The visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Thursday.
