Carl Ray “Goose” Dean – Obituary

Carl Ray “Goose” Dean, age 60, passed away July 10, 2018 after an extended battle with cancer at the home of his brother in Mount Pleasant.

Carl was the son of the late Carter Dean and the late Ada Hendrix born on March 29, 1958. He was of Baptist faith. He enjoyed working in the yard and working on building projects. He was a carpenter by trade.

Carl is survived by one daughter, Jessica Brooke Raines of Lewisburg and one son, Jerry Ray Dean of California, one brother, Jimmy (Wanda) Dean of Mt. Pleasant, two sisters, Christine Oliver of Columbia and Jocie Boswell of Lynnville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joyce Dean and two brothers, William Hendrix and James (Buster) Hendrix.

The family will visit with friends on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm officiated by William Owens at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will follow at Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville, TN.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Dean, Clay Oliver, Eddie Lloyd Norman, Chris Oliver, Kerigan Tiffner and Glen Hardy.
