Carl Lamar Jones Profile Photo Carl Lamar Jones, an estate developer, and a significant contributor to the growth of north Jackson, has passed away at the age of 89. Carl was born in Jackson, TN and passed from this life in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico on November 14, 2023.

Throughout his life, Carl made contributions to both the community and was a real estate developer. His presence alongside the Bypass and Oil Well Road became synonymous with progress and prosperity. Notably, he exemplified philanthropy by donating land for the establishment of the West Tennessee Cerebral Palsy Center.

Carl was baptized at West Jackson Baptist Church at an early age. He successfully graduated from Jackson High School before pursuing further his education at Baylor University. His commitment to learning laid a strong foundation for his future endeavors.

Beyond his accomplished professional life, Carl will also be remembered for his deep passions outside of work. He had an ardent love for hunting dogs and horses but above all else cherished the moments spent with his family. Their bond was undeniable and brought immeasurable joy to each member.

His memory lives on through his son, Harrell Bond Jones (Jenny) of Sweetwater, Tennessee, and his daughter, Beth Jones of Nashville, Tennessee. Naida B. Barnett, the mother of Carl’s children, joins in mourning the loss alongside countless friends and family.

Furthermore, Carl leaves behind a cherished lineage of grandchildren, Bethany Jones DeAngelis (Doug) of Franklin, Tennessee, Carla Jones Wyatt (Chris) of Hermitage, Tennessee, Bond Jones (Amber) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Kelly Jones of Nashville, Tennessee. Among the great-grandchildren are Jonas Heuer, Isabel Heuer, Elias Heuer, Felix Heuer, Bond Wyatt, and Brett Wyatt.

Carl was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Ann Jones, and Flora Jones McInnes, his brothers, Dr. Garland Frank Jones Jr., Bond Jones, and Peter Bond Jones, and a special niece, Bonnie Jones Tubbs.

Numerous nieces and nephews also feel the loss deeply, including Diane Jones Fradella of Greenwood, South Carolina.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Carl Jones will be remembered for living his life the way he wanted, and those left behind are stronger, wiser, and more courageous for it.
