Carl Edmund Rutkowski, age 19, a resident of Ripley, TN, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, in the Hillville Community. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Christ Church in Brownsville, TN, with Bro. Eddie Martin, Bro. Grover Westover and Bro. Johnny Wayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. Carl Edmund was born on January 31, 2003, in Jackson, TN to Carl and Jamie Rutkowski. He was a graduate of Haywood High School, Class of 2021, where he played football for the Tomcats. He worked as an Input Handler for Fed Ex. He loved and was deeply loved by his family. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Carl Edmund was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anthony Tony Rutkowski and Linda May Rutkowski, his maternal grandfather, James “Red” Watson and his cousin, Martin Pace. He is survived by his parents, Carl and Jamie Watson Rutkowski of Ripley, TN; his grandmother, Carolyn Watson of Stanton, TN, aunts and uncles, Trent & Kim Rutkowski, Keith & Megan Rutkowski, Gerry Rutkowski, Melinda & Vicki Rutkowski, Tony & Gigi Rutkowski, Elizabeth & Stephen Pace and Jonathan Watson. He is also survived by many beloved cousins and friends. Pallbearers for the service are Carl Rutkowski, Tony Rutkowski, Stephen Pace, Michael Pace, Michael Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Mason Phillips and Lyle Land. Honorary Pallbearers are Matthew Pace, Jeremy Qualls, Hayden Qualls, Anthony Hendrix, Heath Hendrix and Keaton Benard. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 200 S. Park Rd, Suite, 100, Hollywood, FL 33021 or Camp Hopewell, 24 CR 231, Oxford, MS 38655.
