Carl Arthur Swanson, 84, of Ardmore, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at his home.
Mr. Swanson is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick Vernon Swanson and Flora Moela Boosier Swanson, as well as one sister, Carol Ann.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nadine Swanson, one son, Jason (Lisa) Swanson, one daughter, Carla (Michael) Cato, one brother, Curtis
(Rebecca) Swanson, one sister, Charlotte Rockwell, three grandchildren; Adam Cato, Scotty Cato, and Logan Swanson, as well as three great grandchildren; Tucker, Cruz, and Baylor.
Mr. Swanson lived in the Ardmore area for the last 14 years where he was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending his free time as an amateur radio operator, a Dutch Oven cook, traveling, and being outdoors. He was also an ordained deacon and a member of The Gideons International.
There will be a Graveside Service held for Mr. Swanson at Gatlin Cemetery on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Jerry Sims will officiate the service. Burial is to follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Gideon Bible Fund.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
