FLORENCE– CARINGPLACE of the Shoals, the distinguished non-profit organization dedicated
to providing education and support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, is
delighted to announce a comprehensive month-long educational initiative designed to empower the local community.
This initiative will feature a series of engaging seminars held every Tuesday throughout October – the 3rd, 10th, 17th,
and 24th, commencing at 6:00 PM, at the CARINGPLACE facility, and is open to the public.
These 45-minute seminars will delve into crucial topics, offering invaluable insights into Alzheimer’s and dementia-
related matters. Attendees can anticipate sessions covering essential subjects such as:
1. Identifying the 10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s
2. Enhancing Effective Communication
3. Navigating Dementia Conversations
4. Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors
Intriguingly, CARINGPLACE of the Shoals is taking its commitment to Alzheimer’s awareness one step further by
integrating the Alzheimer’s Walk initiative with these seminars. The Alzheimer’s Walk is slated for October 8th, with
festivities commencing at 2:00 PM. CARINGPLACE of the Shoals is assembling a dedicated team to participate in the
walk and actively engage with the community at an information booth, where valuable resources and information will
be distributed.
