Car Crash Near Hanceville Kills One Sends Four To Hospital

HANCEVILLE-A two-vehicle crash today, May 28, claimed the life of a Hanceville woman. Victoria Justine Smith, 30, of Hanceville was killed when the 1991 Mazda she was driving collided with a 2008 Ford Mustang driven by Connor Lawrence, 18, of Cullman.

Smith, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected during the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. Lawrence was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital, and three passengers in his vehicle were transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

The crash occurred at 12:30 p.m. on U.S. 31 at the 322 mile marker, one mile north of Hanceville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
