TUSCUMBIA-On Saturday Land Trust Of North Alabama along with the Colbert Tourism had a day of hiking, wildflowers, food, music, and hot dogs around the campfire at the Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve.
This outdoor fun event was very special as the Land Trust celebrated the donation of Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve to Land Trust of North Alabama. The point was named Lacefield Pointe in honor of Jim and Faye Lacefield and all they have done to preserve this natural treasure. Essity also made a donation for a new tool shed for the preserve.
Everyone had a fun day hiking, looking for wildlife, learning about the rocks and flowers of the area. The Quad Cities Daily was on hand to capture this commune with nature in photos….ENJOY!
