Calvin Curtis Berry – Obituary

CalvinCalvin Curtis Berry, 85, of Town Creek, passed away, March 31, 2013.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, from 11-1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating are Brothers J.W. Vickers and David Allison.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vanita Sue Springer Berry; parents, Chester Curtis and Annie Bell Davis Berry; brothers, Garth, Dal and Theron Berry; and sister, Virginia Stutts.

Survivors include his wife, Nita McDaniel Berry;

daughters, Susan Sockwell, Patsy Jordan and Jeanie Uhlman (David);

nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Berry was a retired Army Veteran of 20 years, serving in the Koren War, a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 361 in Town Creek and member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
