Byron Carnell Haney, aged 49, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, in Eufaula, Alabama. Born on May 3rd, 1975, in Alabama, Byron was the son of Ronald Glen Haney and Linda Gayle Haggermaker Haney.
Byron leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Haney, and their children: Montana Harrahill, Ryan Haney, and Justin Haney, along with his wife Sidney. His loving mother, Linda Haney, also survives him, along with his sister Lynicia Lovell and her husband Brian. Byron’s legacy continues through his nephew Keaton Lovell and his wife Elizabeth-Anne, along with their daughter Ella Lovell. He is also survived by his nieces, Aubry Lovell and Gabby Parker, and nephews, Austin Lopp and Carson Lopp.
Byron was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Glen Haney.
Funeral services for Byron will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Round Island Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Mike Green and Daryl Brooks. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at the church.
Byron was truly a one-of-a-kind individual, known for his passion for the outdoors. He found great joy in bass fishing, deer hunting, and golfing. His love for nature was matched only by his dedication to mentoring others, especially youth. Byron had a talent for imparting lessons and was a beloved youth baseball and football coach. His absence will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege to know him, and his impact will be remembered for years to come.
Byron Carnell Haney will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
