ANDERSON-Businessman Jonathan Berryhill, CEO of B&B Health Services, has announced his
candidacy for the Alabama State Senate, District 1. His decision to run was based on a
desire to ensure that Alabama’s future is bright for those who will come behind him.
“My children are the most important thing in my life,” Berryhill said. “As a father of six,
I am concerned about the direction of our state and our country. My children will be
growing up here. I feel God has given me the opportunity to make a positive impact in
our state, and I intend to take it.”
The Winfield, Alabama native joined the Army after graduating high school in 1996, and
served in “Operation Joint Guard,” a peacekeeping mission in Bosnia. Following his
return to the United States he was awarded an Expert Infantry Badge and honorably
discharged from the Army in 1999, following multiple injuries.
Jonathan currently serves as CEO of B&B Health Services in Huntsville, which he started
alongside his business partner in 2007, and also owns and operates Berryhill Farms, LLC.
Jonathan, his wife Hannah, and their six children have lived in Athens for the past decade
but recently moved to their farm in Anderson where they raise beef cattle, sheep, and
pigs.
“I am a family man who loves to hunt, fish, and farm. We serve God and love each other.
I have never had political aspirations nor have I ever dreamed of political power. I just
know that we must send the right people to Montgomery to ensure the best future for our
children and those who will follow us. If I am not willing to do it, then who will?”
Jonathan’s platform is one of service. He believes in leadership by service and in working
with all the voters, businesses, and various municipalities to promote the interests and
priorities of District 1 in Montgomery while holding fast to his faith and his moral
standards.
“I served America in the Army. I served Alabama as a police officer. I serve my
customers as a business owner. I serve my family as a father and husband. I serve my
God as a devoted Christian. I now seek to serve my District as a State Senator. I would
appreciate your support in my campaign.”

education. He walked on as a linebacker at the University of North Alabama, where he
played for a year and a half before having to leave the team due to his service injuries. He
transferred to Athens State University where he graduated in 2005 with honors, earning a
Biology and Chemistry degree in only two and a half years. In 2004, Jonathan began
working for a company in the medical field, where he worked his way up to become
COO in 2006.
