Mr. Borden died on Wednesday, February 7. 2018 at home in Danville, Al, He was born Mar 8, 1931, in Morgan County to Irvin Monroe Borden and Rosie Etta Borden. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ida Borden, two daughters: Victoria Borden Honda, Karen Borden James and three brothers: Masey Borden, Irvin Borden, and Glenn Borden. Four sisters Closie Roberts, Evie Dooley, Zolar Roden, Geneva Roden
Survivors include: One Son: Kenn Borden-Burrow (Theresa) Three Daughters: Linda Borden Wright (Bradley), and Colleen Borden (Stan) Joanie Tedrow (Charlie) 10 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Darryl Turney, Burse Boes, Tony Boes, Jeff Turney and Lisa (Dooley) Doorlag, Dawn Parker, Delbert Honda, and Stan Soul
Burse Borden served in the US Army and fought in the Korean War After the war he relocated to Kalamazoo, Mich., when he couldn’t find work in Alabama and returned to Morgan County after retiring from the Upjohn Company with 18 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman returning to Michigan every deer season to hunt. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved music and playing his guitar. Family always came first for Burse. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
