Buron Augustus Watson, III “Ron”, of McDonough, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., at Black Creek Baptist Church, on Monday, November 9, 2020. Keith Cochran will officiate. Burial will follow at Black Creek Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing. Mr. Watson was born in Savannah, GA. He was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church. Ron is preceded in death by his infant son, Samuel Watson; parents, B.A. Watson Jr. and Mildred Farr Watson; and daughter, April M. Watson. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sanders Watson, of McDonough, GA; daughter, Amy (Jason) Blehm, of Dayton, OH; son, Buron Augustus (Beau) Watson, IV, of McDonough, GA; grandson, Luke Blehm, of Dayton OH; sisters, Beth Stevens, Gini (John) Hill, Althea (Ashley) Barre, all of Savannah, GA; brothers, Ralph (Karen) Watson, Chesterfield, SC, and Louis (Ponda) Watson, of Savannah, GA; 9 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces; 1 great nephew; and 1 great-great nephew. Pallbearers will be Ron’s nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Ron’s name be made to the Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. The family would like to express a special thanks to doctors, nurses, and chaplains at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. The family will accept friends from 1:00p.m. until the hour of the service at the Church on Monday.
