Obituary of Burnice Lamon LentzBurnice Lamon Lentz, 100, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023, after a brief illness. Her visitation will be on Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Midway Memorial Gardens.

She was survived by her daughter, Carol Pike (Kenny); two grandchildren, Amy Kostrzewa (Frank) and Hunter Ledbetter (Rose) and 4 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lentz was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Lentz; parents, Minor and Ava Lamon; twin sisters, Merle Lamon and Melba Smith; one brother, Maurice Lamon.

Mrs. Lentz was born in Trinity, AL in 1923. She graduated from Trinity High School. After taking a course in Business, she worked in Washington D.C. for one year. Mrs. Lentz retired from Alabama Farmers Co-op as an Accountant. She became a Christian and was saved at the age of 8. She was a past member of Memorial Drive Methodist Church and a current member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Her Aunt Annie Parker, missionary in Africa, had a great influence on her life. Mrs. Lentz will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
