Burnette Bryant, 87, of Iuka, MS, was born on May 26, 1937, and passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Southern Magnolia Estates. She was a devoted member of the Iuka Methodist Church and actively participated in various community organizations. Burnette was a leader in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, a youth leader, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Gideons. Her life was dedicated to taking care of others, and she was known for her love of gospel singings.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Darwin, Lisa Locke (Jerry), and Keith Bryant; her grandchildren, Nikki Clark and her husband Nate, Beth Huntley and her husband Ryan, and Logan Locke; and her great-grandchildren, McCarthy, Mollie Bryant, and Stokes Huntley, Alex, and Andy Clark. She also leaves behind her brother, Dale Medley and his wife Hester, and her sister-in-law, Linda Dexter and her husband Bobby. Burnette was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Jackie Bryant, her parents, her son-in-law, Sammy Darwin, her grandchildren, Kinsley and Jay Darwin, and her sister-in-law, Peggy Dexter (M.G.). Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services will be on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at Iuka Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Dallas Culver. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made in Burnette’s honor to the Iuka Methodist Church or to the Gideon’s.
