Burl Norman Lambert, age 63, of Petersburg, Tennessee, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his residence.

Burl was born July 16, 1960, in Columbia, Tennessee, to Mac Lambert and the late Melba Brannon Lambert. He served 31 years in the Air National Guard and in multiple conflicts including Desert Storm and Bosnia/Cosovo. He served as the Athletic Director at Midway High School for several years. He enjoyed farming, flying, and serving his country.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Melba Brannon Lambert and a nephew, Richard Lambert Rundles.

He is survived by his son, Neal (Rachel) Lambert of Petersburg; grandson, Luke Lambert; father Mac Lambert of Jefferson City; sister, Joan (Gary) Rundles of Livingston, AL; brother Paul (Theresa) Lambert of Tallahassee, FL; nephews Carter and Hank Lambert; nieces, Megan (Tim) Opsal, Alley (Wes) Scroggins, and Madie Rae Lambert; great nephew Anders Opsal.

Final funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be held in East Tennessee with burial at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
