ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson released a statement concerning the indictment of a burglary suspect:
“Jeuranathan Mystopher Surhapi Grant was arrested yesterday in Jefferson County Alabama on a Grand Jury indictment for burglary 3rd degree.
In September of 2014 our department received a complaint of a burglary of a storage shed in the 1100 block of Elkton Street. The victim told Investigator Jonathan Caldwell that he was missing several arcade machines and parts to the machines.
After an investigation Grant was developed as a suspect in the case. In April of 2015 Grant was indicted by a Limestone County Grand Jury for Burglary 3rd degree.
Grant was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail. “
