Mr. Bulon Everett “Ben” Nixon, Jr., age 82, of McMinnville, TN died November 03, 2023 at his home. He was born November 02, 1941, in Atlanta, GA to the late Bulon Everett Nixon, Sr. and Mary Sweetser Nixon. He was a human resource director with Powermatic where he worked for over 42 years, was a member of the Smartt Church of Christ, past chairman of the Republican Party of Warren County, past chairman of the Election Commission of Warren County, and hosted many Rotary Exchange students for one year each.
Ben is survived by his wife Linda Lee Fann Nixon, children Bulon Everett (Rebecca) Nixon, III, Nathan Craig (Amy) Nixon, Joshua Wade Nixon, and Cary Ann (Sammy) Jones, step-sons Roger Griffin and Shannon (Janie) Griffin, grandchildren Tommy (Cara) Jones, Michael (Brittany) Jones, Avery Nixon, Parker Nixon, Quinton Nixon, Evie Nixon, Oliver Nixon, Raine Nixon, Jacob (Tori) Griffin, and Justin (Carrie) Griffin, several great-grandchildren, and many family friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 05, 2023 at the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Steve Hillis will officiate. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Centertown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home.
