Buford Ray Plunk – Obituary

BufordBuford Ray Plunk was born January 11, 1947 in Bethel Springs, TN the son of Velma Smith Gettel and the late Robert Floyd Plunk. He was united in marriage to Mary Jean M. Plunk on December 13, 2011.
Mr. Plunk was a forklift operator for Witco Chemical Manufacturing before he retired. He attended the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.
Some of his favorite pastimes were: watching football, westerns, Fox News, shooting pool, mowing the lawn, ridding his scooter and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Plunk departed this life on March 21, 2013 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 66 Years, 2 Months, 10 Days. He is survived by his wife Mary Jean M. Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Desserae Plunk of Selmer, TN; four sons, Clint Plunk of Eureka, IL, John Plunk and wife Jennifer of Ramer, TN, Davey Plunk and wife Angie of Washington, IL, John Cagubcub of Bethel Springs, TN; two brothers, Neal Plunk and wife Brenda of Bethel Springs, TN, James Plunk and wife Monica of Finger, TN; two sisters, Edith Martin and husband George of Morris Chapel, TN, Doris Hamilton of Bethel Springs, TN; nine grand children and one great grand child, along with a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by a brother, Max Allen Plunk.
