Buford Butler, 80, of Toney, Alabama passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at Athens Health and Rehab, Athens, Alabama. He was born Tuesday, July 27, 1943 in Athens, Alabama to Joe Sie Butler and Luener McCluskey Butler.
Mr. Butler has lived in this area all of his life and was of the Christian faith. He previously did residential construction and enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan Butler; brothers, Philip Butler, Floyd Butler, and Buck Butler; sisters, Wilmer Butler, Tanna Lou Strickland, Katherine Johnson, and Lillian Church.
He is survived by his son, Chris (Bianca) Butler of Ardmore, Alabama; brother, Bill Butler of Toney, Alabama; grandchildren, Leah (Zack) Caldwell, Jeremy (Mary Lynn) Butler, Bradley (Jada) Butler, and Jaden Brooks; and great grandchild, Reagan Caldwell.
Visitation will be Friday, October 13, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with a 3:00 PM Chapel Service following with Bro. Steve Olney officiating. Burial will follow in Madison Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Butler, Jaden Brooks, Zack Caldwell, Bradley Butler, Troy Butler, and Tommy Colston.
