Buel Lee Davis, 66 of the Sweet Home Community passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home. He was born December 1, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Carl A. Davis and Jackie Faye Bishop Davis. He was a graduate of Arab High School, a machinist and a member of the Sweet Home Baptist Church. Buel had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was known as a fun person with a quick wit and clever sense of humor. Buel had many hobbies that he enjoyed, including reading, motorcycle riding, and visiting history museums. He also enjoyed cooking and sailing on Lake Guntersville.
He is survived by his sister: Patti Thornbury, husband: Dee; nieces and nephew: Katie Thornbury, Abigail Thornbury and Stephen Thornbury; host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the Sweet Home Baptist Church with Brother Andy Brown officiating. The burial will be in the Sweet Home Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Sweet Home Baptist Church.
