Buddy Lee Ford, 88, Leighton, AL passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021. There will be a graveside service Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Poplar Creek Cemetery. Mike Weldon will be officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery in Leighton, AL.
Buddy was a Veteran during the Korean War Era. He was a born again Christian, member of the Boilermaker Local 455, and a member of the Purple Martin Club. He was an avid gardener and a master tinker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Ethel Ford; brothers, Milton Ford and H.L. Ford; sister, Hazel Thompson; great grandson, Hudson Ford.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Ford; sons, Gary Ford (Regina), Darryl Ford (Lisa), Stephen Ford (Selina) and Burl Ford; brother, Donald Ray Ford (Joy); grandchildren, Mary Beth Owens (Tim), Matthew Ford (Amelia), Tyler Ford, Chad Ford, Josh Ford (Kayla), Kristin Ford (Stacy), Lauren Goldman (John), Trevor Ford, Lucas Ford, Logan Ford, Slayton Ford; great grandchildren, Caroline Barbara Owens, Colin Ford, Tasker Ford, Cason Ford, Nola Rose, Noah, and Lauren, Jennins Goldman.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
