Buddy Burleson, 93, died Thursday, February 08, 2017 at his residence in the Chesterville Community of Pontotoc Co. after an extended illness. He was born in Palmetto Community on March 18, 1924 to Dewy and Bertha Fuell Burleson. A member of the Chesterville Baptist Church, he loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing. Buddy love to trading and aggravating his family and friends. He worked for Pontotoc County for many years.
A service celebrating his life will be held 12:30 PM Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. David Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesterville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4PM-8PM today (Saturday) and from 11AM till service time on Sunday, all at Holland-Tupelo Chapel. Survivors include his three daughters: Ann Welch of Pontotoc, Linda Altom of Pontotoc, and Branda Pannell Buse (Terry) of Guntown. Seven grandchildren: Lenny Welch (Jamie), Lori Welch, Jennifer Seale (Scott), John Stewart, Kimberly Shaw (Shane), Casey Pannell, and Derick Pannell (Marilyn). Eleven great-grandchildren: Gage, Lucas, Brooke, Brittany, Braxton, Bindi, Chase, Chase, Cody, Chloe, Preston, and Macey, and two great-great grandchildren: Grayson and Anna.
Pallbearers will be Lenny Welch, John Stewart, Casey Pannell, Derik Pannell, Gage Welch, Lucas Welch, Chase Shaw, Cody Shaw, Preston Denton, and Braxton Seales.
