Bruce Lamar Downs, 58, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully at home April 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Gresham Downs and his sister, Crystal Downs. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Downs; sisters, Ivy Downs Albert (A.J.), Stephanie Downs (Charles Hopper), and Lilli Downs Danielson (Gil). Bruce grew up in Huntsville and attended Huntsville High School. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, Auburn football, and Atlanta Braves baseball. In his spare time he loved photography. He will be remembered for his kind demeanor, sense of humor, and love of family.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, with the service immediately following in the chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Huntsville Humane Society or a favorite charity.
