Bruce Kim Rogers, 65, of Madison, AL, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL.

The visitation to celebrate Bruce’s life will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday April 20, 2024 at Spry Funeral Home.

Bruce was born to Jack and Constance Rogers in Huntsville, AL on December 22, 1958. He graduated from Grissom High School in 1977 and later earned a certificate of Design Drafting Technology from Calhoun Community College in 1980.

While Bruce and his beloved wife, Kimberly Lowe, grew up in the same neighborhood, it wasn’t until Bruce started cashing his paychecks from SCI at the Kroger store, where Kim worked, that they fell in love. When Bruce would stop by the store, Kim would shamelessly flirt with him, and he, of course, was oblivious. However, a short while later when Kim’s brother, Ricky, was helping Bruce’s father build his woodworking shop, Bruce got up the courage to ask Ricky if Kim was available. And like any good big brother should, Ricky had no idea. Deciding to take a chance, Bruce called Kim to ask her on a date and was promptly turned down because Kim already had plans for the day in question. Luckily, Bruce persevered in his pursuit of Kim by calling her again to ask her out, and this time, she said yes.

Bruce and Kim were married on August 16, 1986 at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL, and they were later blessed with two children, Jeremy and Jamie.

Bruce worked as a Senior Electrical Designer Drafter for Chrysler Corporation for 21 years, followed by 3 years at Siemens VDO and 3 years at Continental Corporation. At work, he was an award-winning employee who was lauded for both his outstanding individual and team efforts. At home, he was a self-taught computer virtuoso who enjoyed helping others and relished the challenge of troubleshooting, building, and rebuilding computers. Bruce was a big Alabama football fan, even during the years between the Bear and Saban, and he loved all car races, from Formula 1 to NASCAR.

Bruce is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, Kimberly Lowe Rogers, his son, Jeremy (Sharon) Rogers, his daughter, Jamie Rogers, and his granddaughter, Crystal Rogers. Bruce is also survived by his father Jack Rogers, mother, Constance Mayhew Rogers, older brother Brady (Pam) Rogers, younger brother Brandon (Lisa) Rogers, as well as his nieces, Priscilla Ricksecker and Anna Rogers, and nephews, Craig Lowe and Blake, Joshua, and Jackson Rogers.
