Celebration of Life for Bruce Fletcher Harkins Jr., 75, of Decatur will be today, Sept. 28, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Reverend Zeke Haselden officiating.
Mr. Harkins was born March 15, 1941 in Fayette County, Alabama to Bruce Fletcher Harkins Sr. and Mary Bradford Harkins. He graduated from Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, Tennessee in 1959. Mr. Harkins was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. He was employed for 30 years at AMOCO/BP Chemical. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jackie Pruitt.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Becky Matthews Harkins; son, Skip Harkins (Lila); daughter, Cristi Harkins; grandson, Hunter Harkins and granddaughter, Addi Grace Harkins.
